I ordered thsi lantern for the occasional camping trip and also as an emergency lantern in the event of a power cut. It's bright enough on the high setting to see what you're doing whilst cooking and whilst I've not tested the run time battery claims, I'm fairly confident that the battery would last as advertised. The USB OUT socket is a neat feature should you wish to charge a mobile device, although that would obviously encroach upon battery life. The really great design feature of this lantern though has to be the Battey Lock technology. Once charged, the battery can be locked out by means of a simple twist on the lantern's base which means in theory it could be stored for long periods without battery drain.
