Thetford® Engineering was founded in a Thetford Township garage near Flint, Michigan in 1963 as the orginal father and sons owners were not happy the the standard drain on RV toilets. As long ago as 1967 Theford introduced the ubiquitos Aqua -Kem and Aqua-Soft toilet fluids and toilet paper for chemical toilets and those products are still going strong over half a decade later withe the first Portapottis coming a year later in 1968.
